As experts on the challenges of vehicle autonomy, it is easy to fixate on solving the technical problems and forget to consider what happens when they are solved. More specifically, are we prepared for a hybrid world of autonomous and manual cars? This short paper aims to investigate current legislation for AVs, gaps not met by legislation, and interesting implications less frequently discussed.
